Colin Cowherd: “I was thinking of who are the top ten players in the NBA next year and you know who I have at no. 1? It’s LeBron James. I know y’all love Kawhi but he’s a better ball handler than Kawhi, a bigger athlete than Kawhi, he's a better rebounder than Kawhi, he's a better passer than Kawhi, he’ll be more rested than Kawhi, and I don’t think Kawhi has LeBron’s leadership qualities. Also, now LeBron has Anthony Davis right next to him. Kawhi is a very good second best player in the league but he’s going to take 20 games off. LeBron is rested and won’t take 20-25 games off."
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he STILL feels like LeBron James is the NBA’s best player despite Toronto Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard making a monumental push these last two months.
The two-time Finals MVP is currently the most celebrated free agent of the summer and his reputation has become immaculate the last few weeks. Leonard is just 28-years-old and has already won championships with two different teams and has also won two Defensive Player of the Year Awards as well.
With LeBron coming off the most embarrassing season in his career and Kevin Durant suffering through a yearlong rehab from his catastrophic Achilles injury you’d quickly assume Kawhi was the de facto World’s Best Player.
Check out the audio below as Colin vehemently disagrees with that sentiment.
