Malcolm Brogdon Acquired By Top NBA Contender in Blockbuster Trade

The Boston Celtics have acquired guard Malcolm Brogdon in a blockbuster trade with the Indiana Pacers, sources confirmed to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski reports the Pacers will acquire Daniel TheisAaron NesmithNik StauskasMalik FittsJuwan Morgan, and a 2023 first-round pick as compensation in the deal.

"The Celtics wanted to land a true playmaking point guard and now acquire Malcolm Brogdon without costing themselves a core player," Wojnarowski tweeted. "The Pacers land another first-round pick in the deal."

Brogdon was selected by the Pacers at No. 36 overall in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft and was the 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year, as well as an NBA All-Rookie First Team selection during his first season, as well as a member of the 50-40-90 club in 2018-19, averaging above a 50% field goal percentage, 40% three-point field goal percentage and 90% free throw percentage.
