Rob Parker: Nets, Joe Tsai, Should Fire Everyone Kevin Durant Wants Them To

Rob Parker on reports that Kevin Durant told Nets owner Joe Tsai that he will only return to Brooklyn if head coach Steve Nash and GM Sean Marks are fired: “ALRIGHT THEY’RE FIRED! It’s all done! I don’t know what people are debating. The NBA is a players league. I’m sorry, a general manager, a coach, I don’t care who it is, it’s about PLAYERS. As much as we love Popovich, where has he been the last eight years without Tim Duncan?? I’m not trying to disrespect the coaching fraternity but let’s be real. You take some of these players off some of these teams and I don’t know if these coaches are winning. This whole notion about ‘well, you can’t have him [KD] running the team!’ Dude, they’ve already done that. There is no trade out there. If you are going to give away Kevin Durant to keep Steve Nash? I’m sorry, it would make no sense. This is about Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons finally playing. If you give me those three guys I don’t care who the coach is. You could get anybody to coach that team if those guys play. He [Joe Tsai] should say, ‘if you commit to the four years on this contract, we will absolutely do this [fire Marks and Nash].’ If you’re the Nets, all you’re trying to do is win a championship. This is a no-brainer if you’re really going to keep Kevin Durant intact.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Rob Parker explain why he thinks Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai should absolutely give into the steep demands of Kevin Durant wanting Nets head coach Steve Nash, and general manager Sean Marks fired for him to commit to playing in Brooklyn going forward.

Check out the segment above as Parker details how the NBA is a players league where the players overwhelmingly determine who wins games, and why it would be crazy to retain a coach and GM if it meant you lost one of the greatest players ever.
