Bill Belichick and the Patriots Should Already Be Hitting the Panic Button

Nick Wright: “It’s a 5-alarm fire for the Patriots. Mac Jones was terrible and the offense is going to be one of the six worst in the NFL. They had two major offseason additions; one was Cole Strange who no one had any idea why they drafted – he got benched during the game. The other was DeVante Parker, the wide receiver who Warren Sharp has pointed out is 72nd out of 72 qualifiers of wide receivers as far as getting separation. He played 100% of the snaps and caught one ball and was targeted twice. I usually wouldn’t say this but they didn’t look as well-coached as usual... Giving up the touchdown before half was as inexplicable of a defensive lapse from a Patriots team as I have seen in the last decade except for another time when they were in Miami and they put Gronk on the field in Hail Mary defense, and the Dolphins beat them there. This was Bill Belichick’s 35th game he has coached since Tom Brady went to Tampa, and he’s now under-.500, 17-18, so yeah, I’d be a LITTLE concerned.” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Nick Wright explain why the New England Patriots should be in full-panic mode coming off a blowout loss Week 1 in Miami where second-year quarterback Mac Jones and the rebuilt Patriots offense looked absolutely dreadful.
