Colin Cowherd: DeAndre Hopkins Titans' Signing Was Embarrassing to Patriots

Colin Cowherd: “This was more of an indictment on New England. You know in the NFL you’re only as good as your star receiver. DeAndre Hopkins did not choose Belichick with 6-7 Super Bowl rings, did not choose offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, who won a division with Brock Osweiler, he didn’t choose Mac Jones, a first-round pick who is clearly their no. 1 quarterback... NO, he chose Tennessee with a shaky offensive line, running back-dominant, and you have no idea what the future is at quarterback. Will Levis, Malik Willis, Ryan Tannehill... and yet Mike Vrabel sold him on it. Free agency is salesmanship. Vrabel is younger than Belichick, probably a little less rigid, former player, and he sold him. It’s hard to win in 2020 without weapons and New England has none. There’s just nothing there. This is an indictment on New England. They can’t sell their vision offensively. Bill O’Brien got to the playoffs four different times and Belichick is a legend. Say what you want but Mac Jones is clearly the future at quarterback. They couldn’t sell THAT to a wide receiver over a run-dominant team with their talent overwhelmingly on defense, and who doesn’t know who their quarterback is?” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd discuss DeAndre Hopkins signing with the Tennessee Titans over the weekend, and why D-Hops' spurning of the New England Patriots is an indictment on the current state of the once-proud franchise.

Check out the segment above as Colin questions whether Bill Belichick will ever offer a palatable ‘offensive vision’ ever again to big-time free agents like Hopkins.
