Colin Cowherd: “The Raiders are like a dormant volcano. It hasn’t erupted in years but it’s always bubbling under the surface and there are some weird readings at Mount Davis right now. It’s about to do a Mount St. Helens. In the last six years you had the Damon Arnette gun issue, Henry Ruggs crisis, Jon Gruden mess, the GM hired off TV didn’t work, Garoppolo is injured, Davante Adams was the happiest guy in the league and now he’s perpetually unhappy, and the Derek Carr divorce did not go well. There’s no coincidence that this is always happening to the Raiders. Mark Davis is one of the poorest owners in the league. The Raiders are probably going to draft a quarterback in the first round next year because they’ve already got really good pieces. Maxx Crosby is an A+ pass rusher, Davante Adams is a star receiver, they’re set at left tackle with Coltin Miller., they have a very good slot receiver in Hunter Renfrow, they just drafted the no. 2 tight end out of college... They’re already paying a lot of money to all the right pieces and check all the boxes, they’re just poorly run and poorly owned. They’re probably going to draft a quarterback next year so is it a good time to be a bad team? Don’t sign Josh Jacobs, even though he’s been wildly productive. He absolutely has a trade market. With Garoppolo if he plays, the Raiders could win 7, 8, 9 games. But if you don’t pay Josh Jacobs and Garoppolo doesn’t play, you are in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. Kansas City twice, Denver twice, Chargers twice? I really like about five of the Raiders players, and they're all in the positions that I need. I think this is a good time to be a bad team. You are now in a division with Mahomes in his prime, Herbert going into his prime, and Russell Wilson with one of the best coaches in league history.” (Full Segment Above)
