Why the 49ers Need to Trade Deebo Samuel ASAP

Colin Cowherd: “There are a lot of reports that Deebo Samuel, AJ Brown, and Terry McLaurin want new contracts. I have three different opinions on all three. With Deebo Samuel, I would strongly consider, and it would be hard, I would consider trading him. I like him but he’s banged up a lot, his style is not built for longevity, he once came into camp out of shape, he is incredibly valuable, and I’m not sure you can duplicate him in the draft, but again, the Niners spent a lot of money on offense on Garoppolo, Trent Williams, George Kittle, and if you add Deebo Samuel those are bodies not built to last forever and with some injuries. As much as I like Deebo Samuel, and I really do, he is just a unique talent, I would test the market… Deebo might be as valuable as any of them [Brown, McLaurin], but the Niners are well-run. With Kyle Shanahan, they make a lot of sixth-round picks work. I would probably be willing to move him because I know I pay Kittle, Jimmy G, Trent Williams, you’re going to pay Bosa, so I would consider moving him. It hurts and you lose sleep but I would consider doing it.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the 49ers should strongly consider trading wide receiver/running back star Deebo Samuel despite the hybrid asset emerging as one of the most dynamic players in the league last season.

Check out the video above as Cowherd explains why despite it being a painful upcoming decision, it is one that a very cerebral front office in San Francisco could execute without getting too emotionally attached to.
