Clay Travis Mocks Colin Kaepernick's NFL Comeback After 'Slavery' Analogy

Clay Travis: “I want to talk about this hypocrisy with Colin Kaepernick. Colin Kaepernick six months ago in his Netflix documentary special argued that NFL players were the equivalent of modern-day slaves. He equated the NFL Combine to modern-day slavery. It’s absurd because everybody goes to the NFL Combine, and everybody gets poked and prodded at the Combine because teams are deciding whether to potentially invest tens of millions into these athletes and they want to know as much as possible about them before they make that massive investment. It makes sense from a purely business perspective. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember very many slaves becoming 100 millionaires by playing their sports, i.e. being involved in slavery. I also don’t remember slavery being voluntary, and I don’t remember you being able to hold out if you weren’t paid enough money. This is such a ludicrous argument that anyone with a functional brain who has in any way defended Colin Kaepernick should be embarrassed by that choice that they’ve made. Six months ago he says NFL players are slaves and it’s modern-day slavery, and now he shows up at Michigan’s Spring Game and threw on the field during the game, and then after the game begged for an NFL team to sign him. Is Colin Kaepernick now begging for the opportunity to be one of the NFL’s slaves again? It doesn’t make any sense at all. This is what you have to understand about the essence of Colin Kaepernick, he isn’t even capable of making a coherent or logical consistent argument about what he is advocating for. It’s why he’s done almost no interviews, it’s why he rarely if ever speaks to the media in any way because he does not have a sophisticated enough understanding of anything. People who have argued in favor of Colin Kaepernick, which is the vast majority of the sports media, have actually embarrassed themselves over the way they are behaving.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Clay Travis of Outkick the Coverage rip Colin Kaepnerick's latest attempt at an NFL comeback, as Clay points out the hypocrisy of Kaepernick making an appearance at Michigan Football's Spring Game this past week working out and proclaiming his desire to play in the league again when just less than a year ago he compared NFL players to modern-day slaves.

Check out the video above as Travis details why he thinks even the most hardened Kap supporters need to finally admit that Kaepernick doesn't have any idea what he's actually advocating for anymore.
