Jason Whitlock: Brett Favre Will Become a Political Pawn Like Derek Chauvin

Jason Whitlock: “I have a concern that all of this animus that is being directed at Brett Favre over social media is going to lead to Brett Favre perhaps being treated unfairly by the criminal justice system. I believe Derek Chauvin, and I’m going to irritate people, I believe he was mistreated by the criminal justice system. I believe Derek Chauvin should have been convicted on manslaughter. I believe he acted in a negligent fashion that contributed, along with the fentanyl in George Floyd’s system, that contributed to George Floyd’s death. But because Derek Chauvin was caught up in a social media doo doo storm and there was this political opportunity to make some point and offer up a scalp, the guy is basically in prison for the rest of his life. I believe he was over-charged for his actions. I think Brett Favre is also in similar crosshairs. Brett Favre has done something wrong. I read up on the story, I can’t figure out what level of charges he should potentially face, but now there is this great political opportunity to charge Brett Favre and show everybody ‘look everybody, I’m not racist, I’m not for White privilege, we threw the book at Brett Favre!’, and I think potentially he’s going to get over-charged. I don’t know if this crime deserves a slap on the wrist, or this guy facing some real prison time but I do think the political winds are putting Brett Favre in a tough situation. I believe what he did was wrong, I believe his entitlement led to him to do it, but I’m a bit concerned we’re going to go overboard trying to ‘get’ Brett Favre because of political winds, and the social media lynch mob wanting Brett Favre taken down.” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Jason Whitlock of ‘Fearless’ explain why he thinks Brett Favre could become the next ‘Derek Chauvin’, as Whitlock says he believes social media lynch mobs that are currently targeting Favre could manipulate and coerce the justice system into a steeper sentence for Favre the same way Whitlock believes played out during the George Floyd trial with Chauvin.

Check out the segment above as Whitlock details why he thinks a potential punishment for Favre will ‘go overboard’, adding that it’s an opportunity for political posturing fueled by the desire to throw the book at ‘white privilege.'
