Colin Cowherd Says Aaron Rodgers Could Be Playing For This Team Next Year

Colin Cowherd: “Ian Rapoport is saying what many others are saying— trading Aaron is on the table. If you’re the Jets or Titans, you look in the AFC and you see Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, and Trevor Lawrence, I don’t know how you look at your quarterback situation and feel good about it. The Jets have a really good roster and are desperate for a quarterback, and they’re not paying any of their top five or six offensive players anything. Aaron fits. New York, Aaron Rodgers, he’s not going to be overwhelmed by it. I also think Green Bay would be fine. The Bears: defensive head coach, defensive culture, lost ten straight, offense is an absolute mess. Minnesota went 11-0 in one-score games, they’re the easiest team to predict a pullback next year. Detroit, I like their story but they haven’t won the division since the early 90’s. If Jordan Love was a B- quarterback in that division you would absolutely contend for a playoff spot. With Aaron this year you didn’t even make the playoffs. It makes sense for Green Bay, you get a first round pick this year, maybe a couple second round picks, you’ve got a nice roster. You could use another tight end, another edge rusher, maybe a wide receiver… Jordan Love isn’t making any money for two years so you can handle Aaron Rodgers’ dead cap hit. How can you look at that Mt. Rushmore of generational talents in the AFC and go ‘we’re good here’ if you’re Miami, Tennessee, or New York? You’re NOT, take a big swing. Green Bay, rip the Band-Aid off.” (Full Segment Above)
