NFL Insider Guarantees that Drew Brees is Retiring, Won't Be Back in 2021

Ian Rapoport: “He’s retired, Drew Brees is retiring. He’s going to have an awesome job in our world next year, he’s going to make a lot of money––“

Dan Patrick: “Are you guaranteeing that Drew Brees is retiring??”

Rapoport: “Yes, he’s retiring. The reason I know that is because 1. he’s retiring, but 2. they took his salary and took it all the way down to the minimum. Drew Brees is not going to play for one million dollars next year. He’s NOT going to play for the veteran minimum. He’s also just not going to play. Maybe’s he’s waiting for his time, maybe he’s letting it kind of breathe a little bit – I don’t know – but he is retiring.”

Listen to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport on The Dan Patrick Show explain why he’s ‘guaranteeing' that Drew Brees is retiring and NOT coming back next season in 2021, despite recent rumors speculating why he’s stayed so silent this offseason and possibly eyeing a return.

Check out the video above as Rapoport shuts down the whispers of ‘ONE MORE YEAR!’ for the 42-year-old.
