Rob Parker on Tom Brady’s chances of winning MVP: “I think he lost it Sunday night. It’s one thing to lose to the Saints, which is fine, but it’s his first time being shut out since 2006. They lost the game 9-0, and I get that people were hurt, but that’s when you show yourself. The narrative is always that ‘Brady does more with less’, and that he could take anything that was thrown to him and work with it. You can’t use injuries as an excuse all the time, Aaron Rodgers went to 7-0 Arizona without his top 3 receivers, his tight end, and his defensive coordinator, and they won the game. The Bucs were 11.5-point favorites in that game, and he lost to a quarterback who’s a running back. Everyone has a clunker but the worst thing you want is a clunker late in the season when people are looking and they start making decisions about the MVP… AARON RODGERS WILL BE THE MVP BACK-TO-BACK, BELLY-TO-BELLY. HIS TEAM HAS THE NUMBER ONE RECORD AT 11-3. TOM BRADY CHOKED DOWN HIS MVP! HE THOUGHT IT WAS IN THE BAG BUT GUESS WHAT? HE TRIPPED ON HIS WAY TO THE PODIUM! SORRY BRADY, NO WAY, NO HOW!’
Chris Broussard: “When I vote for the MVP in the NBA I don’t look at narrative, but a lot of writers do, and the narrative of a 44-year-old who has defined Father Time, who is leading the league in yards and touchdowns, is much more of a compelling ‘narrative’ than the guy who lied to the media and told us he was ‘immunized’ when he meant vaccinated, and the guy who sat out a game because he wasn’t vaccinated, and cost his team a big loss to the Chiefs. If I was voting I wouldn’t bring that into play but a lot of people do.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Rob Parker and Chris Broussard debate who they believe will win the NFL’s MVP award, as Aaron Rodgers made a big push in the Vegas odds to win the trophy after Tom Brady’s disastrous start against the Saints on Sunday night when he failed to lead the Bucs offense to a single point at home.
