Doug Gottlieb: “I stand by the belief that Tom Brady got Bruce Arians fired. Nobody ‘retires’ when you have Tom Brady for one more year. Some of it may be philosophically coaching football but I think a lot of it is that Tom Brady is an all-in guy and Bruce Arians is ‘win or lose, we’re drinking at 5!’ Everybody knows that and Bruce has never made any excuses for that. That’s who he is and there just comes a level of frustration when you have one way of doing things and you’ve done it and been successful for over 20 years, and another guy has only been successful when he’s been with you. So you’re like ‘my way works and this is how I want to do it.’ You’re insulting my intelligence [thinking Brady didn't get Arians fired]. The report comes out about Brady forcing his way to the Dolphins, and then suddenly recants, has a turnaround, decides to come back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and then shortly thereafter Bruce Arians only then decides ‘ya know what, now is the best time to retire!’ I was born at night, just not last night. I don’t believe they took the word gullible out of the dictionary, and I really don’t believe things that common sense tell me are factually inaccurate.” (Full Segment Above)
