Emmanuel Acho: “I would argue that Baker Mayfield is the most overachieving player of this generation.”
Marcellus Wiley: “As a number one overall pick??”
Acho: “Not talking about his draft status, talking about his attributes and what he brings to the table. Baker Mayfield is undersized, Baker Mayfield is ‘under-sped’ – he ain’t fast, so he’s undersized, he’s not fast, and as it pertains to NFL arms, he doesn’t have the best one in the league... But he was still the number one pick, he still has the most wins of any Cleveland Browns quarterback of the last 30 years, he’s still won a playoff game for Cleveland – the first in the last 26 years. So a quarterback that is undersized, a quarterback that isn’t actually fast, and a quarterback whose arm is simply above-average somehow has the most wins of any quarterback for an organization in the last 30 years, and somehow has the only playoff win of any quarterback in the last 26 years. To me, Baker Mayfield is an overachiever. If it’s not his size, and it’s not his strength, and it’s not his speed, then it’s got to be an intangible. For Baker Mayfield, it’s his PASSION.” (Full Video Above)
Watch Emmanuel Acho explain why he thinks Baker Mayfield is the ‘most achieving player of this generation', as Acho believes Mayfield has accomplished more with less than any quarterback we have seen in recent memory.
Check out the segment above as Acho details why Mayfield has used intangibles, not raw talent, to resurrect a previously dormant Cleveland Browns franchise.
