Colin Cowherd Says He'd Rather Have Jalen Hurts than Lamar Jackson

Colin Cowherd: “I believe on the open market Jalen Hurts would have substantial interest from a minimum of six teams. I think he’s an ascending player, he’s not a noisy player, he has an agent and agency that does all his work, he is driven, he’s laser-focused, he has great leadership skills, he’s earned every penny of it— I’d like to have seen another year but the Eagles thought they could get a little break if they signed him early. Right now, I would take Jalen Hurts over Lamar. He’s an ascending player, I’m not sure Lamar is. Two things can be true: I can like Lamar but I would take Jalen Hurts over him. I’m not sure Lamar is ascending. Have we seen the best of Lamar? Every time I watch Jalen Hurts, he’s better. Year 1 to year 2, year 2 to year 3, regular season to the Super Bowl. He just keeps ascending.” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd discuss Jalen Hurts’ massive 5-year, $255 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, and why he believes he’s more confident in Hurts getting that type of guaranteed money than Lamar Jackson.

Check out the segment above as Colin details how Hurts is ‘ascending’ and Lamar is already plateauing.
