COVID-19 is making its way around the Texas Rangers clubhouse.

Three more players were added to the COVID-19 injured list on Monday, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Pitchers Mike Foltynewicz and Drew Anderson, and infielder Brock Holt joined third baseman Charlie Culberson, who was added to the list on Friday, August 20.

All four acknowledge that they have been vaccinated for the respiratory virus.

The four players on IL will remain quarantined in Boston as the Rangers move on to Cleveland for a three-game series. They will be out for a minimum of 7 days, according to COVID-19 IL protocol.

Players don't have to test positive for COVID-19 to be added to the injured list. They only need to show symptoms or come in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

The Rangers did not confirm if any of the four players tested positive for COVID-19, but manager Chris Woodward said it was "just a matter of time" before the virus affected his team.

“We tried everything we could. I felt like we’ve done a really good job up to this point. Obviously, considering the circumstances we dealt with last year and this year, we knew the virus was an issue. For us, fortunately, we didn’t have many cases, but we are in Texas where it’s pretty rampant," he said Monday morning.

Earlier in the month, the Rangers' minor league team the Frisco RoughRiders had to postpone a game because of positive COVID-19 tests among its players, Sports Illustrated reported.
