Brady Quinn: Why It's Hard to Actually Feel Sorry For Johnny Manziel

Brady Quinn: “I saw about, I don't know 10-15 minutes [of the Johnny Manziel Netflix series]-- what bothered me the most about that is that is an example of a player who got drafted into a bad organization, but yet didn't do anything to try to make it better. Him and his agent are like admitting that he didn't watch any film. I'm like ‘why do you want people to feel bad for you then for the different issues that you face when you're openly admitting you didn't put in any work to it?’ You didn't even attempt to be a professional athlete prepared for your job, and yet you're being paid millions. Why is that a laughing or entertaining point or moment in any docu-series? That's what I don't understand-- is there might be people who are huge Johnny Football fans and Johnny Manziel fans and that's great if you're a big fan of him from Texan A&M, or just his persona and who he is off the field. The reality is he took up someone's draft pick and didn't even attempt to prepare to be a professional quarterback. If I'm a Browns fan, if I'm even a Johnny Manziel fan, I'm kind of like ‘come on, dude, you had a shot at this and you didn't try? You don’t watch any film? You didn't prepare??”; (Full Segment Above)

Watch Brady Quinn of Fox Sports Radio discuss Netflix’s new documentary ‘UNTOLD: Johnny Football’, and explain why he couldn’t feel much sympathy for a guy in Manziel who admitted that he essentially made zero attempt to make it as a quarterback in the NFL.

Check out the segment above with ‘2 Pros and a Cup of Joe’ co-host Jonas Knox, where Quinn details why it’s hard to feel sorry for someone who speaks so candidly of a failed NFL career that he seemingly sabotaged himself.
